I'm lucking out on that one, Stimpy. The 08 barrel is already factory fit to the frame the 06 is on, so it'll jump back on that one and only have the new frame to fit to the 06. Funny thing, I got 3 factory fit barrels to one frame, and put all three of them on 3 "new" frames. I juggled a bit and they all locked up beautifully; did the feeler guage bit and all. Then I fired all of them. The brand new .22-250 barrel poped open on firing. First thing I did was look at the latch shelf. There was a very distinct high burr on the left edge. I filed it off and it was fixed.
It was blowing 40 to 60 the day I put those rifles together. That's why I was inside doing it. But when each was finished, I stepped out on the porch and chucked a shot at the 300 yard gong (an old propane tank). When I fired the .357, I aimed about two feet high and 3 into the wind. I let out a Whoop when the gong rang!! Not bad for a pistol bullet!
