Quick, what mounts/rings for USH????

What height rings should I buy for a Zeiss 3-12x56 scope on a USH?  I'm looking at Warne #615M High Matte 30mm Tactical Maxima Series Rings.  Will this work?  What would be your recommendation for mounts on this gun/scope.  I looked for a dednutz setup, but I did not see that they had 30mm ones.  Does anyone make a Steel base for it or will the stock one be fine.  The scope is heavy at 26oz.  Any thoughts?

I have a Hakko 3-12x56 scope, the AO is 2.770" in diameter, I set it in high Burris Sig Zees on my USH, it just barely clears the barrel, the rings are .420" high if that helps any. The Warne high rings are .580" tall, their mediums are .440", so it would depend on hammer clearance and the size of the AO on the Zeiss.

Warne lists a steel pictantinny base for the Handy, #M681M I only see one source for it in a search. Talley lists a two piece steel base, how ever that works. I aksed Gary at Talley to send me on of their bases to check out, but never got it, he's working on spacers and trigger guards so I didn't want to bug him about the base and rings. Steel is always better, but I've not had any trouble with the H&R base on the 500S&W, but the scope doesn't weigh 26oz either.

I ordered one of the Warne bases so I can post a pic in the FAQs, it'll be a couple weeks before I get it, the last time I ordered from TGS it took a week before they even shipped!!

I just ordered one of the bases too.  I also got a set of the tactical high rings.  We'll see if it works.

The high ought to be plenty high, what's the diameter of the AO? The scope cover wouldn't fit between the bell and the barrel on mine. My USH is a 12ga, it just occured to me the 20ga has a smaller barrel if that's what ya got.

According to Ultimate Outdoors, Warne makes two H&R bases. Of course they don't have any in stock at the moment.

That's a little less money, maybe a standard Weaver style mount, Warne doesn't list it tho, so I dunno. You can order that one and find out!! Maybe a call to Warne to find out is in order.

It's listed as a steel base in the foot note on the .pdf.

Tim I just got off the phone with the gun source and where I ordered the WARNE M681M PIC BASE it showed it in stock but they only had one.  They told me someone (must have been you) bought it right before I placed my order and the site had not been updated to reflect it.  I got them to change my order to the standard mount so I would not have to wait on a back order so now I can post pic's of it and you can post of the other.

Thanks Tim!  I called them back and it seemed a swap was to much for her to handle.  If your not going to use it, after you get it and take a picture of it I would love to buy it off of you or trade you the one I'm getting.  If you want to sell send me a PM with the price and your address and I'll go ahead and send you a check.  If you want to trade thats cool too, I'll pay the difference and shipping both ways.
