Pics of my new rifle...!!

This is a Harrington & Richardsson Model 58 in caliber 22 Hornet, made in 1980.



Out in the forest shooting, should not have forgotten my hearing protections so I did not have a chance to use it so much today.



Home at the farm, outside the wood shred.



Closeup on the casehardened receiver and the small Leupold scope.



The rifle ready to load.



Check out the size of the breech, the Hornet hole sure looks tiny...



Watch the space between the hammer and the scope, less then 1/8".

That forearm reminds me of a 99 savage forearm.  I like the good clean lines of that gun.

I sure do like the 'Legacy' H&R case hardening better than the current version. I had my old H&R 10 ga. goose gun out the last time I was home and the colors were much more pronounced and richer than that of my BC. BTW, very pretty rifle.
