.45 Colt "gallery" loads for Carbine

My new 45 carbine arrived!  Looks and feels great.  You folks are correct, H&R's are infectious...  But for now, I'm looking for suggestions for a round ball gallery load that is very quiet for indoor improvised range use...  I'm thinking a .454 ball tumble lubed in LLA and a small charge of fast powder, Bullseye or 231.  I want to shoot at night after work!!!  I've been a 45 Colt shooter for years but never needed something quiet.  Any thoughts?

I am leery of shooting anything heavier than pellet guns indoors without a for real set up range. You can buy x-ring rubber bullets from midway for about 12 bucks for 50 at Midway. They are powered just by primers.I used them to get rid of a nuisance raccoon a few years back. Didn't do any real harm, but he never came back. It was very quiet , about like a cb cap. It wasn't quiet enough t, the old lady across the street did call the police. I got a talkin' too. Then he asked where he could get some . I gave him the rest of the box I had. Can't go wrong with a little good will. He was a guy I went to High School with.It was not a bribe.

Just in case anyone was going to ask: yes it was the 45/410 I have played with so much. I just used 45 colt brass though. I had yet to explore my other projects on it. Range was less than 25 feet.

Rubber bullets sound good.  On another forum a suggestion was made to use Speer plastic bullets, wax bullets and hot glue sticks cut to length, all primer-only powered.  Thanks for the tip.
