Where to buy/ how to make a forearm lug?
« on: January 28, 2007, 06:36:32 AM »
I got a rifle barrel in a deal without a forearm lug. Where can I get one or how can I make one to go on this barrel?  It seems like I saw one that someone on this list made and screwed onto a custom, maybe octagon, barrel. Thanks

Go to Fred M's web site, it's in the FAQs, probably in his .257 Roberts custom info. NFG broke one off, I'm pretty sure he posted his fix, that info is in the FAQ under a warning about adding weight to the forend.

The lug is missing off a regular weight 243 barrel.

You might be able to make one out of a ¼x20 T-nut.

Why not send it to the factory?
