Dee,

I modified my original post above.  So now you can put your badge away.  The jest of the post if unknown at time was more an ammo answer that a gun answer.

I told you I don't have a badge. Just a stupid social worker patch (the patch is stupid not me). Excuse me, the phones ringing. It's probably the president again.

1) Marlin Model 39A Mountie.
2) Marlin 1895 GS
3) Marlin 1894 in 44 Rem Mag

with a 30-30 Winni or Marlin option for #3...  #1 & 2 might be my top two regardless of action type.

y'all are pretty boring!  ;D

How about some classic Winchesters:

an original Henry iron frame - in 44 rimfire of course!
an original 1886 full stock carbine in 33WCF
and an original 1895 Deluxe in 30-06 for one to shoot

I would take these three calibers.  30-30,7mm rem. mag, 510 kodiak express. That would cover my needs

Actually I do have 3 at the moment:
1) Browning BLR in .308 Win.
2) Marlin 1895M in .450 Marlin
3) Marlin LTD-V in .45/70

Rev  (actually the BLR belongs to my son now so I guess I need another lever to replace it...was thinking .45/70 Cowboy?)

1.  Marlin 336 30-30
2.  Marlin 39A
3.  Can't decide between a Savage 99 in .250 savage, or a Winchester 1895 in 30-06.  Think if I went with a Savage it would never leave the safe, except to show it off.

Well, I suppose I have fallen from grace on this thread. I have sold my Marlin 1895 CB, and have stuck with my Winchesters. One in 3030 and the other a Model 92 clone in 357mag. There is just something about the look, feel, and handling that I haven't been able to overcome in over 50 years.
So I guess my two will have to do.

What a choice one is forced to make. All my levers are Marlins and I would have to lose the 30-30 and keep the other 3.
a) 45-70 Guide gun, Stainless laminated.
b) pre cross bolt safety 35 Rem
c) 44 mag, marlin 1894, same ammo as my revolver so a must keep rifle.

            2. Winchester 94 Trails End 45 Colt
            3. Marlin 1894 45-70 circa 1972

1. Marlin 39A - 22LR

2. Marlin 336 - 35 Remington

4. Marlin 444 - 444 Marlin

Those 3, which I do in fact have, take care of any hunting I might do.  I also have a 30-30, and an 1894C in 357 mag.  But the 3 I listed are my top game getters.
The older I get...The better I was.

If I could only have three lever receivers.....might change the barrels to get the caliber of choice.
#1   Browning model 1892 in .45 Colt 18" barrel.

#2   Browning model 1886 in .45-70 Govt. Shotgun butt and 3/4 magazine tube. 22" barrel.

#3   Winchester or Browning model 1895 take down with 2 barrels, 30-06 Springfield,

                                                                                    and .411 Hawk. ::) ;D

I may toss a curve ball here.
1) Henry Lever in 22LR
2) Win 1895 in either 30-06 or 30-40K Or a Sharps 1874 carbine in 45-70. (Falling blocks are lever actuated)
3) Win 1887 in 12 ga. with a 28" barrel
If these are the only three guns I need something that I can shoot small game with
Large / Big game.
And Wing shooting.
