picked one out today

well i went to sportsmans warehouse and did a little browsing today.  they had a 204 ruger with the 22 in bull barrel for 219.  i really want one with the cinnamon lam stock and the 24 inch fluted bull barrel, but the website only shows that barrel available as  part of the replacement barrel program so i will just have to see if they can special oder me one set up like that.  guess we will just find out when i go back after pay day next week.

forgot to put in there that i also bought lyman 48th to do a little studyin before i start handloading and buying equipment

The 204 is only available in a Handi with pallet wood stock or in the fluted Ultra, best advice is to either buy an Ultra with the cin lam stock set, then add a 204 barrel, or buy a 204 Handi then swap or buy a cin or cam laminate stock.

It's always a pleasure to help make a new Handiholic!! ;D There's lots of swapping/selling/buying of stock sets in the NEF/H&R Classifieds, check em out if you decide to go that way. The stock sets are also available direct from H&R, prices are in the FAQ and Help sticky in the 2005 Retail Parts Price list. ;) They show up regularly on Ebay, but be sure to know what they sell for before you pay too much, including shipping.
