Great day of shooting
« on: October 14, 2006, 10:58:49 AM »
I took my sisters 2 boys out shooting today , this was the first time either one have shot . They are 9 and 11 . they just love the 22LR Sportster and just about shot up all my 22 mag ammo also .

One thing that i did find out is that the Tamer stock on the 20 ga. fits small ones just about prefectly . They also just fell in love with my S&W mod 36 , the Houge mono grip fit their hands well and controled recoil nicely .

After watching me shoot the 45/70 they desided that they were not up to it yet and would stick with rimfires for awhile !

All in all it was a good day of shooting . ;D ;D

good for you stimpy...i might be turning the corner with my non-tomboy all girl daughter...i let shoot my 223 off a benchrest when she was 10 she only shot once i thought it might be to much kick so once was it...anyway know she ask's if she can get a "little" gun of her own..she will be 12 soon..that sportster may be the ticket !! we can't push these kid's...but..we sure can nudge alot !! some kid's are never exposed to shooting sports...good job...

The worst part is that their Dad is a LEO and CCW instructor , he has time to teach others for money but not his own kids .  >:(

Stimpy, that is a shame thrir Dad will not or does teach the boys about guns
and shooting. At least you take the time to help the parents teach the boys.
Makes me think you are one of the good old boys. thought that at the P. Dog shoot
in Hooker when I met you. Good luck Marv.
