Solid, reliable and easy to shoot.  9mm??  Get a bunch of extra magazines and have a ball.  Mikey.

I have started to buy one on several occasions !
Just never did. Lots of folks used to get the Star mixed up with the LLama.
The Star's got an undeserved bad rap. They are solid handguns...

I bought one a couple years ago for $255. It's not as accurate as my Beretta 92 but it has never failed to fire. Get one if you have the chance.

I've owned two Star Model  B pistols.  Aside from the fact that the firing pins tend to break when you dry fire them, they are reliale shooters.

The firing pin is retained by a cross pin concealed under the rear sight, and repeated impact from dry-firing will break the firing pin at the retaining notch.

I got one a while back from SOG when they had them and i'm not sure if they still do have them.  The Star model B in 9mm is a copy of a '40's colt.  I also picked up a Star super A in 9mm largo and a Star model BM in 9mm.  The Star super A in 9mm largo comes apart a little different but its an easier design to remove the slide/barrel.  The Star BM in 9mm  is a smaller version like the combat commander but smaller in size and weight. Again these are quality built handguns too.  The smaller BM feels good in the hand too just like the B's do too.

If your getting into collecting these don't forget the Astra's to model "600/43" in 9mm luger and the  model "400" 9mm largo too, while they won't win a bueaty contest they sure do shoot good too.

Don't forget the chinese tokarev in 9mm too these are another neat little pistol that handle the 9mm round very well too. I find these used for around $139 to $149 but i have seen then go as high as $175 too. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
