trigger job
« on: August 02, 2006, 12:38:05 PM »
I have a Sig 245. I want to great a better DA trigger, has anyone done a trigger job on a sig and was it worth it. I heard of people installing a 19 Ilb. spring in their guns. I love sig and plan to buy a Mosquito to practice with at the range. A bit cheater in ammo. Hopefully Sig has worked the bugs out of them.

About the Mosquito, I'd look around for a Ruger MarkII or MarkIII or maybe even a Browning Buckmark before I bought a Mosquito.  Personally, unless I can get a Mosquito for cheap then I'm going to look at a Buckmark Hunter.

Everything I've read says that when they are working the Mosquito is great but it is almost literally a crapshoot as far as reliability goes.  Sig does back up their product though and you can count on great customer service.

Remington 7600 - 30.06Sprg, currently topless.
Remington 700XCR - .338RUM, Burris Fullfield II 3-9x/40, Burris Dovetail rings and base mounts.

SigPro 2022 - .40S&W
Glock 26 O.D.

I haven't gotten a trigger job on my 245 but I've noticed that it smoothed up a bunch by a bit of shooting (maybe 500 rounds?).  I've even been using mine to compete in a local I.D.P.A. group.  Fun!  (I'm using the factory 8 round mags).  I'm finding the P245 platform lends itself to shooting accurately at speed.
