Mossberg 500 Trophy Slugster
« on: October 05, 2006, 03:50:20 PM »
Has anyone ever used this slug gun?  I've heard it is pretty good for the price.  I wwould like to know how it is from some guys on here.  I am looking at a 12 Ga.  version.  I am on a pretty tight budget right now and I think it will be a decent buy.  Any help is appreciated.
When an Army captain asked him for the direction of the line of retreat, Col Puller called his Tank Commander, gave them the Army position, and ordered: "If they start to pull back from that line, even one foot, I want you to open fire on them."
Turning to the captain, he replied "Does that answer your question?
We're here to fight."

Mossbergs and my family go back quite a ways. The very 1st shotgun I ever fired was my dad's Mossberg 12ga. model 500.
I've owned quite a few shotguns of various manufacture over the years (Remingtons, Wiinchesters, H&Rs & a Benelli), and just recently picked up another...Mossberg!
I purchased a 500 synthetic combo in MOBU finish. It features a 26" vent rib field barrel & a 24" fully rifled slug barrel. Mossberg has always delivered a quality product at a fair price, nothing fancy...but a gun that you can depend on when you need it to work!
I'll post my results after my first trip to the range with it...stay tuned!
