Dan Wesson mod 15
« on: July 14, 2006, 04:57:40 PM »
How much is a Dan Wesson Model 15 in good condition worth.  The finish is bright blue like the older colts and smiths.  Will this gun hold up to plenty shooting.  Can you still get the parts if something goes wrong.  Not sure what the year is but it has white letters and comes with the barrel wrench. The grips look like what I rember for the late 80's or early 90's, not that I am any kind of expert on this.  Thank for the info.

A typical example with a single barrel goes in the $250-$350 price range. I've seen pistol packs and hunter packs for around $700 (edit: and up). An older 'Monson" model or a newer 'Norwich' model is seen as less risky of a purchase, so they'll probably sell faster. As long as CZ-USA doesn't pull the plug, parts and repair service will be available from the factory.

I bought my Mod. 15 357mag for $250 even from a private seller . It's Monson, Ma made and gun condition was about 95+%. I use it with 38 target loads right up to 357mag hunting loads. For the age of this gun there is very little wear or cylinder end play and its an accurate bugger too :) Pic of gun and info is at http://www.bghi.us/index.php?x=dw15
