Scope for a hornet...
« on: June 24, 2006, 03:20:58 AM »
Hi,
Just grabbed an almost brand new NEF hornet w/ a 4X bushnell on it.
Truck gun candidate, but needs better glass. 200-225$ upper limit given intended usage. Thinking weaver 6X,B&L 10X,Nikon 6X, or leupold 6X. General varmint targets in northern maine, Leaning towards B&L but want to keep as light and compact as possible. Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
                  Thanks, Bleuphyshe

Welcome to GBO!! :D Congrats on the hornet!! I'd add the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 Mildot to that mix, great scope for the money!!

I meant the bushnell, still thinkin' B&L. Only issue is those babies weigh almost a pound, which takes away some of the "Handi-ness".

I have a Red Head (Bass Pro store brand of Bushnell Banner) 4-12X 40mm AO on my 20" SL and I don't see anything un-Handi about it.  It nestles beside my right leg in the Grand Cherokee and with a box of bullets on the dash, it's pretty Handi!  :-D
