Left Hand?
« on: May 13, 2006, 06:05:28 AM »
Does anyone know if any companys make a left handed rifle with a stainless barrel and wood stock? Something like the Browning A-Bolt White Gold, I know there is a few with blued barrels or stainless barrels and synthetic stocks but I have'nt seen any with the stainless and wood combo, I'm looking for one in the .300 to .338 class. Am I going to have to buy a stainless and synthetic one and buy an aftermarket stock for it? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

I recently picked up a left-handed Ruger 77 Mark II with a stainless action/barrel and laminate stock.  Without checking manufacturer's websites, that's the only one I can think of offhand.  Caliber selection for us leftys is somewhat limited from Ruger.  I don't believe they make a short-action, lefty gun.

if you purchase a ruger with the lam. stock, CHECK it at temps lower that 30 degrees!!!! I am from W. Pa. and bought 1 back in 2001 and it shot excellant till the temps dropped! they say lam. does'nt twist and I do not believe them! (experience) I will buy another, as I sold that one! But will convert it to a syn. stock! or will make my own outta walnut!
