Just curious as to what the other Remington aficionados here think about the future of Remington's Short Action Ultra Mags. I don't see them hanging on much longer. They never developed a real following and being beat right out of the starting gate by Winchester's WSM cartridges didn't help matters.
I originally thought that if one of them might make it, it would be the 7mm SAUM since Remington has almost always scored a "hit" with anything they brought to market in the 7mm designation. But now the whole line appears to be headed for oblivion. A local gunshop has a new blue/laminate Model Seven on the shelf in 7mm SAUM, that they just keep marking down. Seems to get fewer looks than a 1986 Yugo on a used car lot!
What do you'll think?
