McMillan for CZ 550?
« on: June 02, 2006, 04:59:38 AM »
Have you put a McMillan synthetic stock on your CZ 550 deer rifle? How did it work out for you? Is it a significantly lighter gun now?  I'm considering either putting such a stock on my CZ or replacing the gun with something lighter.  I'd also like lower and lighter scope rings. Can you recommend good ones? Thanks.

Hello Questor....I can't help you on the stock end of your question other than to say I know a fellow who used a Banser to stock his Burno 21H...a very neat lt. wt. rifle it turned out to be.....as far as rings go Warne and B-Square make low rings for the CZ....I have a set of Warne low rings and I would not say they are light .....If you use the Warne low rings you will most likely "not" have enough clearance to open you bolt and you will have to grind a bit off the bolt...all depends on how big the eye objective is on the scope as to how much you will have to grind off....not a big job at all........
