need help with rings for new CZ
« on: May 22, 2006, 12:12:27 PM »
Howdy,I have a 527 Varmint in .17 rem. on
the way and would like to top it with a Nikon
Buckmaster 4x12x50 and was wondering if
anyone knew what rings I'll need to get it
to fit.Judging by the fit on my 527 American
with a 6x18x40,I don't think the CZ rings will
do it.Any help would be appreciated.

I used Millet 22 rings on my CZ, worked fine.  I happened to have the rings laying around, now to get out and shoot it.

I've got a 527 lux that I mounted a Burris 8x32x42 mil dot on.  I had to use Millet's Angle-Loc rings.  I used the medium ( .586 ) height.  I think you might have to go to the high rings ( .699 1 inch tube - .623 30mm tube - I don't know the tube diameter).  If you haven't found a solution yet you may want to consider them.  They do make sighting in a lot easier.  Burris scopes have so little windage adjustment that I used the ring adjustment to get things lined up on the borescope before I could fine tune with the scope adjustment.
Good Luck
