I bought it on e-bay, took it to the range, and found that it would not focus and eliminate parallax simultaneously at the higher powers. It is so bad that it is unusable. I'll send it back to Simmons, but don't hold out much hope.

Do you think it was used and abused or just the scope itself? I was looking at a Simmons 8-32x44 Blazer new for 79.99, now I dont Know if I should.

I have had bad experiences with Simmons scopes other than the top of the line models. I avoid the brand all togrther now because of past experiences. Dave

The best medium priced scopes:
Bushnell Elite 3200

If you buy any of these scopes, you will never be disappointed.

And becareful on ebay! It's better to buy a scope from a reputable source that will allow you to return it.

It sounds like you just purchased a "typical Simmons scope" (Simmons and BSA are good for headaches if you look through them longer than a minute: give them to someone you don't like!
