Beretta Mato or Weatherby Accumark, both nib in 30-06 which would you prefer and why? Really comes down to the action a MK V verses a Dakota 97....
Beretta Mato - (no longer in production) is the Dakota-inspired Mato bolt action rifle. This rifle is based upon a receiver that's a virtual clone of the Dakota 97, which is a budget version of Don Allen's Model 76. The former uses a tubular receiver and separate recoil lug rather than being machined integrally from a solid billet. All the other Dakota 76 features, however, are incorporated into the Mato: Mauser-type feeding, extraction and ejection; a Model 70-style safety; and that neat bolt stop/release lever that virtually disappears into a slot in the receiver bridge. In addition, the Mato offers one feature not found on either Dakota: a bottom metal unit that looks exactly like a classic hinged floorplate arrangement, but is actually a detachable magazine.
Most of you should at least be familiar with the Weatherby Accumark...
