Has anyone seen/handled one yet? I have yet to even see one in person. The guy at the shop I go to says he "thinks" he can get one?.. :D

Gary Reeder posted a couple of pictures of the 2" version that he saw at the shot swow. I have been in contact with Taurus over the past 10 months about an actual release date for their 10" and 2" version of the 500 mag. They keep telling me it should be released in about 3 or 4 months. I have been hearing this same thing for almost a YEAR!!....... Still have not seen anything but pictures.

The .500 magnums are out right now. My local gun shop has a 2" barrel revolver and the 10" one. I have held both and they feel nice. Both of them had nice porting and nice rubber grips. I couldn't fire them unless i bought them for the $1100 that he was selling them for.

Does anybody know if they will handle the longer 700 grain bullets from ballistic supply? I have heard that they will by some and that they won't by others. The cylinder may be a little short ???

Man $1100 sounds pretty steep, I can buy the NIB S&W 500 in 4" or 8 3/8" for under a grand at my local shop, heck they even have a performance center model for a bit under $1300...

Yeah, the price is high. Everything at this store is high, they want $25 for a 20 rounds of 9mm Golden Sabers!  :-) I think the Taurus .500 magnum retails for $800 but i am not sure.

price retails out at 880 - 899 but right now there are not a lot of them available .So the cost is what ever you can squeeze out of it and hoping that your customer has a very short memory
