norinco 97
« on: January 10, 2006, 03:13:01 PM »
hello all, I have and origional winchester 97 and would like another but the prices are really climbing. I wounder if anyone has had any experience with the norinco copy in regard to reliability and function. I have been considering one as a cheeper alternative to another winchester.

I have heard good things about the norinco 1911's from a few years ago. Just wonder about the quality of their shotgun?

Thanks for your responses, Byron

Hey there:

Like you, I have original Model 97 Winchester, and love it. I did a search on Norinco on the Model 97, and the way I understand this, only Canada imports them, and they are not allowed to ship any Chinese imported arms into the States.

Wish I cou.ld get one, too, but I don't know how you can get one in the U.S.A. You can do a search on Yahoo and just type in Norinco, and go from there. Everywhere I went, said the same, not to be shipped to USA.

I think I did see one a while back at a gunshow, but not 100% sure.

Sorry this didn't help much.

All the best,
