I recently bought a Stevens 200 in .243. I'm having feeding problems. If I cycle the bolt hard and fast it does ok. If I am slower and more gentle, the first round goes sideways but stays in the action, the second feeds ok, the third simply flings out of the action even though I'm on the foreward stroke, the fourth feeds ok. Any thoughts? I like the gun and it is scary accurate. Don't want to get rid of it. Short of slamming the bolt everytime what's the fix? Thanks in advance.
