Knifemaking great Bill Moran died at 3 AM this morning of complications due to colon cancer.  One of the greats and the "father"of modern pattern welded(damascus) steel.

I'm sorry to hear about his passing. I had the privledge of meeting and talking briefly with him several years ago at the Blade Show in Atlanta. My Spiderco Moran seath knife has been a favorite for years. :cry:
