REMINGTON FILES CHAPTER 11
« on: January 18, 2006, 05:46:05 AM »
NOT!
Folks,  Remington is the BIG KID on the BLOCK and deservedly so IMHO.
We have 3 MAJOR US gun mfrs and I don't want to see any of them bought by a foreign entity or slam the doors.
I see anyones purchase of a Savage, Ruger, or Remington as a vote to keep our gun rights in this country because a healthy US firearms industry has more lobbying power and the ability to fight back.
I see no need to bash one because you purchase or prefer another.
The way I see it US manufactured firearms pretty much give you a wide choice of price/quality/features etc.
Wanton generalized bashing of one manufacturer or another without direct firsthand knowledge is IMHO worthless and maybe slightly dishonest at best.
I believe most people buy a rifle, take it out of the box and shoot it with zero problems regardless of MFR.
Some people claim the quality is not there. That hasn't been my experience and I wouldn't be afraid to plop my money down on any of these.  If you ask me, new firearms are alot of bang for the buck! (theres a pun there). The world is changing faster than we realise I think.  If any of these companies fail, it's a huge step in the wrong direction.
 JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION
