Sorry, I would definately go with the Remington SPS. I have the 7-08 and it is a shooter. I have loaded 150 NBT, 160 SGK, 120 Hornady SP, and 139 Hornady. All but the 139 Hornady shot at an inch or less. This is my personal experience, maybe I have a fluke rifle, but I doubt it.
The Vanguard, in my opinion, handles very well, but I have never shot one. Common complaints that I have heard are poor bedding and poor accuracy. Yeah, they guarantee 1.5 MOA. So what? I bet any of the budget rifles will do that. If you are set on the Vanguard then just buy the Howa for $50 less and skip the Weatherby name on it.
