The older ones have the advantage of having the Allen wrenches built in. The newer one is handier for a better grip and less danger of slipping. Of the two I'd take the newer, allen wrenches are a dime a dozen.

As for the price of the DW tool, DW has to make their money somewhere. Doesn't cost any more than an ink cartridge for your printer.

I'm quite happy with the tool I bought. The quality is well worth the $32 +$3 shipping I paid.

Thanks, that's the first one of those I've seen. It looks like a better design than the older one, especially since one of my 744s doesn't use Allen wrenches for the rear sight.
