My Walmart has a Winchester Model 70 Coyote for $250.00 on the display rack. I do not recall the calibre though. It has the black synthetic stock. Good price? Thanks for your advice.

i know dude, i made a post about it couple days back.... its a black winchester 70 with a simmons 3-9X40.... very very very sharp gun, my friend got it the first day they put it on clerance.... you woun't be sorry, he says its the best 250$ he spent on any gun

I shot with it, it feels so smooth and nice, first day at the range me and him we were doing groups of 1-1.5" @ 100 yards

I would think it is a Shadow package at that price. I picked one up last fall in .300 Win Mag for $300. If there are any left, I can see Wally-World closing them out at $250. That is what I paid for a Rem. 700 ADL Synthetic there last year.

I do not believe that the Shadow is the CRF model, but at $250 for a new rifle....yea, I'd say it's a good price.

Winchester has a new marketing gimmick, "Controlled Round Push Feed". Caveat Emptor.

I just picked up this rifle tonight...I had to drive to another walmart this evening...it was a walmart I've never been to...and they have this rule that they will not do a NICS check after 9:30PM, so I was in a rush to get to the store...only to find out that there was an  issue with the store's inventory system...fortunately...I was able to purchase the rifle.  They also had Winchester Supreme 30/06 ammo on clearance...at $13 a box...I bought all they had...I will test out the rifle sometime this week.

Great buy on the rifle.
 Wish they had them around here  I would be all over that deal.
And might I add...excellent price on the ammo!! They usually go for around $20-25. But you probably knew that already :-)  Let us know how she shoots for ya.

That walmart had two of the rifles in 30/06...and yes...the ammo was a steal.

It ain't a gimmick, it works. It ain't new, Savage started usin' it on their African caliber rifles years ago.  :D

Why can't I ever find a deal.  I only find used rifles locally with new rifle prices.

I never see these good deals. I always end up buying new from gunsmith,
but he always gives me a good deal. :D
