Sako 75 Hunter in 280.  Kahles scope with TDS reticle. Leupold rings.  This rifle with my 140 Accubond loads will consistently shoot 1/2" or better 3 shot groups at 100 yds.

Next rifle would be a 1960 Marlin in 30-30.  Open sites.  Will shoot factory ammo into a 3" group at 100 yds.

Some guys treat their rifles as tools, according to them, but not me.  Asking me to pick one favorite out of all I own is like asking me to choose which of my kids I like best.  My favorite magnum is my .300 Weatherby Mark V I got in 1963.  It wears a Burris 4-16x scope on Burris rings.  Shoots groups under MOA all day and has since I got it.  This isn’t a tool, more like an old friend that I can depend on.  My favorite varmint small bore is my Ruger No. 1 in .22 Hornet.  It wears a Burris 6-24x 44mm scope on Ruger rings.  My favorite small bore is my Ruger M77V(older tang safety Centennial model) .25-06.  It too wears a Burris 6-24X 50mm scope on Ruger rings.  My favorite Medium bore is the 1917 Enfield I built for my Father when I was 16.  It wears the same K3 Weaver on Weaver rings/mounts now that I put on when I built it.  It shot solid 1” groups form the day I built it to now.  As for my favorite Big Bore it’s a toss up between my South Gate built Weatherby Mark V in .375 Weatherby of my custom M70 Winchester in .450 Marlin.  Both are a blast to shoot and both will shoot groups at or under MOA.  Both wear Burris scopes on Burris rings and mounts.  Sorry but I couldn’t name just one.  Lawdog

I have to agree with those that cannot name a single set up. However, currently I am enjoying a Ruger 77 RSI with NECG aperture sights. I like the rifle so much I am going to set it up with a scope also. It would make an excellent tree stand hunting firearm here in MN where a long shot is 200 yards. The rifle is probably a 1 1/2 to 2 MOA shooter as it comes from the factory. It is well balanced, light, short and offered in quite usable calibers

Ooh, that's a tough one.  I guess if I had to pick one deer rifle, it would be my Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in .280 Remington. It wears a Leupold fixed 6x42 in standard Leupold rings, and shoots 140gr Ballistic ST's into 1" all day long.  I consider it one of the finest whitetail rifles available, and it has served me very well since '95.

eta:  Law, you seem to be a big Burris fan.  I've been really impressed with their scopes, and have 5 of them on various rifles right now.  I really don't think they can be beat for the money!

Sako Finnlight in 270 WSM with Swaroski 3x10x40.  Shoots .5 MOA with 130 grain handloads.

Or, could it be the new Weatherby MOA .257 Mag with Leupold 3x9x40 that shoots .25 MOA with handloads.

Might be the Remington 700 LV 7mm-08 with Ziess that shoots just under MOA with SST handloads.

I just can't figure it out..... :)

I'm kinda a luddite in that I don't have a lot of DIFFERENT rifles but rather variations of the same rifle.  Just about all my rifles are Rem 700's.  In a lot of different calibres.  I try to set my hunting rifles up to where they are pretty much the same as far as trigger pull and eye relief is concerned even tho I use different scopes.  And different mounts.  In this way, they each shoulder and handle pretty much the same.  The safety is always in the same place and works the same.

I like them all too, but my little CZ 527 American in .223 has become my favorite bolt gun lately. It wears a 3-9x Leupold compact scope in the CZ rings. A good looking, handy little rig, and plenty accurate too.

I have a favorite out of all my rifles it the one I've had two barrels put on. It is my 300 Win Mag. I had the action bedded and the barrel has a support under it. It shoots a 1/2 "group at a 100 yds.  :D

I am torn between two different classes of rifles, for my favorite
rifle.

In the bolt action class, my favorite is my Tikka M695 SS/Laminate,
in .25-06 Rem.  It wears a Nikon Monarch 5.5-16.5, mounted with
Warne dovetail rings.

In the semi auto class, it is my BAR LW Stalker, in .308 Win.
It wears a Bushnell 3200 Elite 2-7x, mounted with "Iron Sighter"
look under mounts.  This is my brush country deer rifle,
set up to handle standing deer out to 300 yards, or trophy
bucks, with the afterburners on, tearing through the northern
forests, out to 100 yards.

Both are impressively accurate, a pleasure to shoot, and
comfortable to carry.  But check back in a couple of weeks,
this list is subject to change.

I`ll go with a pre-mil Sav 99 in .300. Vintage 3X Weaver scope (early 60`s) loaded with 150 gr Winchester Super-X shells. As far as accuracy
goes, it puts-um where i`m lookin. Can`t do any better than that.
It`s hard to pick one as others have indicated  but for me this works.
One other thing, guys that see it in the woods or where ever, always
   comment on it.

I can't pick one.
For targets, 77V in .220 swift with 3 x 9 leupold.
For big bucks, 7 mag in lefty 700 with new 3 x 9 leupold and old (heavy) Bell and Carlson with Pachmayr.

In the truck, my old Marlin Bolt 22 mag with a 3 x 9 scope.   Scary accurate and tough as a hammer.

I am in the same "I can't pick just one" catagory, so I will lust mention my newest setup. Winchester Model 70 Classic laminated in 325WSM. Has a new Leupold VXII 3-9x scope in Leupy rings and bases. This has been the most pleasent magnum I have ever shot and very accurate to boot.

I'd have to say it's my sporterized 03 springfield in 300 win mag with a 6x redfield. I like everything about the rifle. Whoever sporterized it was a master. The stock is cut just right to keep recoil down. The bolt is slick and smooth. And best of all the bullets go where i want them.
