Every year I think about getting a new shotgun with a scoped rifled barrel, and this year was no different. Today I took my open sighted, smooth-boared with a rifled choke 11-87 out to check my sights, and it still impresses me.
Off the bench I am able to get 3 inch groups at 50 yards. This is with Wally-Worlds $6 for 15 rounds Foster style Winchester slugs.
At 100 yards, its minute-of-whitetail. Off hand, a little less, but still bambi blasting good.
Why should change a good thing? Here in northeast NY, 100 yards would be a long shot.
Watch out deer, her I come...
