About 20 years ago I bought a S&W 9mm model 547. A friend told me they were rare? He said they were made for ths French police and it cost S&W more to make this revolver than any other hand gun they had ever made. I've never fired it and you don't have to use a circle clip to load it. I called a gun shop and they said they doubted it was made by S&W. I know it was because I've got the box and all the paper work that came with it. Anyway, are they rare and are they worth anything?
