This morning we had the two youngest grandkids over early as the older ones were off to a 4-H Rabbit Show. I had our youngest Granddaughter, age 4, shooting GrandmaÂ’s Beeman Super 12 .20 at different targets around the yard when she spotted a young Ground Squirrel in GrandmaÂ’s garden. She whispered she wanted to try to hit it so I told her to go ahead. One shot at 39 yards(
measured) hit the squirrel in the right ear killing it instantly. Granddaughter put the rifle down and ran to tell Grandma while I retrieved it from the garden. Talk to a taxidermist friend and IÂ’m having the squirrel mounted for her for her upcoming birthday,
July 4th.(sheÂ’ll ge it after her birthday when itÂ’s done). I donÂ’t want any to think I am proud of my young
"Annie Oakley" but the wife is going to have to sew the buttons back on my shirt. Lawdog
