E. A. Brown BF pistol.........
« on: May 25, 2005, 03:29:37 AM »
I ordered a BF pistol from Brown a few days before Christmas. It will arrive today along with another BF for a fellow shooter. They are both 22 Hornet caliber which will be used to shoot pistol silhouette. I'll take mine to the range tomorrow to sight it in. More details to follow.

range report.....

Installed scope, loaded ammo and went to the silhouette range. I had to use new virgin brass for my loads (22 Hornet). The chamber on the BF is very snug and previously fired brass wouldn't chamber even when FL resized. However only neck sizing was needed using the brass which was fireformed in the BF chamber. Sighted in the gun and proceeded to whack the silhouette target animals with regularity. Fit and finish are excellent, accuracy is excellent and trigger pull is perfect for the silhouette game. In short, I love it!

The 1st time I used a BF I was amazed how easily it shot fantastic scores.  They are very good shooters to be sure!

I was at the range the day John was sighting in his new BF. The groups showed a lot of potential for the first time out. Shore is a lot prettier than my two old BF's.

Another BF pistol..........

I just traded for another BF pistol. This one was made by BF Arms, the original guy. It is 32-20 caliber. I now have three BF pistols. I got it to resell but after shooting it I may just keep it. It shoots .308 bullets very well. It knocks those silhouette targets down so hard they almost bounce back up. My problem is, a friend wants to buy it and I like it so much I don't want to sell it.

A customer was over yesterday. I showed him my BF pistols. He took one look at them and decided to order one from EABCO. He is a prarrie dog hunter just back from vacation in Wyoming. He wants a long barreled pistol in caliber 219 Donaldson Wasp or 22 Hornet or 22 K-Hornet. He just loved the trigger on these things.
