new trigger for a stevens??

can an aftermarket trigger that is designed for the savage 110 series be used in a stevens rifle?  wondering because I heard the actions are supposedly the exact same?

As I understand it a Stevens is a Savage 110 without the accu-trigger. If that is indeed the case you can have the existing trigger reworked to lighten it and make it crisper. I had that done with my Savage 116 and the trigger is really nice.
