Savage 99E 308
« on: May 01, 2005, 08:33:46 AM »
I just traded for my first Savage 99 in a 308 Win.  I wanted the rifle for my son when he starts hunting next year.  The rifle does not have a sling and I would like to put one on.  Also, I want to put another scope on.  The scope on it is a Tasco 3-9.  There is some discoloring on the stock and I would like to refinish it.  Any suggestions?  It looks like there is a wealth of knowledge on this board.  Also wondering if there are any owners manuals around anymore?  Thanks.

I have a Savage 99 in 308 Winchester and like it a lot. They are well made are time tested.
I have a fixed 4X Weaver on mine. Also refinished the stocks and added aluminum butt cap and grip cap. Used to live in Prineville and Bend and last name is Ingman. Take care. POW
