New 1897 barrel on an old 1897, can it be done?
« on: March 20, 2005, 09:34:58 AM »
I have my dad's old 1897 but when he was a kid he ringed the barrel then cut it off behind the ring which left it 12" long!  When I enherited it I pulled the barrel off.  Since then I have been looking for a new barrel for it.  Looking arround on the web I have come across barrels for the new 1897 and I would like to know if they can be used on my origional receiver?

Thanks for any help.

The best thing to do, would be to calll Marlin and ask them.
