I just thought I would let the group know that Sports Authority has several interesting items on clearance in our local store.  I picked up a 22 sythetic handi for $79.99 yesterday.  They also had 12 gauges on clearance for $49.99 and Bushnell Trophy 3x9x40's on clearance for $69.99.

That is a shame.  I shot my new one this weekend, as usual this NEF was a heck of a shooter.  I could not be any happier with this rifle's performance especially considering how little I paid.

Picked up on of the $79. Sportsters in 22 LR from Sports Authority this week. Haven't had a chance to take it out. They couldn't find the hammer spur so knocked another 10% off. Gonna try to take it out Friday.

Congratulations on the new toy!  I could not be any happier with mine, its accuracy was beyond what I expected for so low a price.  If only the guy behind the trigger would stop jerking a few shots it would be even better.

Thanks. Put a Simmons 3 x 9 x 40 on last night. One that I had laying around, but should be ok for the rimfire. Medium Leupold rings just clear the hammer spur, but clearance is clearance. Took the hammer extension off my 25-06 and ordered a new one from H&R yesterday. Looking forward to tomorrow afternoon. When I have a bad day, it is normally my fault, not the gun's.

Took the .22 Sportster out today. Winds gusting from 10-20 mph, but had to get out. Went down to a buddy's farm, shooting off a Workmate and solid rest with Federal bulk pack. Had to brag a little bit. The target below is shots 36-40, 1-1/16" c to c. Will probably have to rezero the scope on a calm day, but couldn't be happier so far. First time rifle has been fired with no barrel prep except a little cleaning. Only shot 50 rounds with no failures of any kind.

50 yards. Took the picture after I had the target in the back of the truck. I'll be happy if it never gets any better. Haven't got my 17hmr to this point yet, but need some much calmer days. You notice I get a lot of milage out of the shoot n see targets. Black magic marker works great for covring up the yellow.

Nice shooting.  That is about what I experienced from mine after I got it bore-sighted.  More than I would ever expected for such an inexpensive rifle.
