45-70 Bullet Weights BC
« on: March 14, 2005, 05:58:54 PM »
What is the heaviest bullet anyone has used in the BC without running into chamber lenght problems? I can chamber the 500 Grain RN Government bullet seated just deep enough to cover the lube rings and still have .030-.040 off the lands. Has anyone tried the 525 grain bullets? My 500 grain loads compress a load of 2F pretty good.
shot placement is everything.
