Not totally so GB.  I always browse this topic, but it sees little activity.  Fishing in South La. is starting to get good now with some cold fronts coming through.

If you give me instructions as to how to do it, I will post some pictures of my last trip into the South La marshes.

Look on the Cannon and Mortar forum. They have the best set of instructions you can ask for on posting pictures here. Matt has guidance down in the help and announcement section also including how to get your URL assignment here at GBO.

Crapola. I see we're still having a problem with images when people use GBO to host the images. Dunno what's going on. It's something in the software or program Matt has set up for you guys to use. I'll get on him to look at it again and see what's going on. I first tried to edit your post to show them as an image since you had not used all the proper code. That didn't help. So I went back and edited it again to make them links. If you click on the link it will show the photo. It did for me.

I love saltwater fishing.  I'll try and visit this forum more often.  I live in Miami where saltwater fishing is the biggest attraction (well, that and the pretty girls in bikinis in the sunny hot weather. :) )

Now that Donna has left the site we need a new Moderator here. Anyone want the job?

As you know, I'm the moderator of both the Bolt action rifles and optics forums, but, if you like, I could give it a try for a couple of months and see how things go.  I just don't want to jeopardize my obligations on the other forums, but I really do love Saltwater Fishing.

Your thoughts?

No problem with that Zach if you want to try it. But moderator or not the only way it's going to go is if someone starts threads. Generally speaking if something is written someone will read it. If enough folks read someone will reply. Eventually that leads to discussions happening. ONLY when enough discussion is on here will the search engines notice it and refer anyone here. Until that happens tho only current GBO members who just happen to notice it will drop by. Getting a new or slow forum moving is not an easy task.

None of the fishing forums are really doing much. But then they seldom do on general use sites like this.

If you want I'll add you or you can just try posting when you have time. Your call.

Okay, I'd be glad to moderate.  I'll try and create some posts so as to hopefully generate some traffic around here.

I'm sure that there has to be a lot more salwater anglers out there.

Seaphantom, You should be able to post on any of greybeards forums. If you don't want to post here just quit posting. And start posting on as many of the others as you like. Regards, Byron

Layup Period
« Reply #14 on: March 02, 2005, 01:24:09 PM »
I think the forum is so slow beacuse of layup.  I have to have my boat out in November at the latest and back in in April.  In between there is bear, moose, caribou, ptargiman, fish wheel and many other seasons.

And on top of all that.....they expect me to work too.

Speaking of work, I am going to be out on business until March 14.  As the new moderator of this forum (and existing moderator of both the Bolt Action Rifles and Optics forums) I put my work aside as much as I can to fulfil my duties here, but I likely will not have internet access on my trip.

So, can I count on you guys to make some posts while I'm gone?

Thanks,
Zachary
