Is their anyone that makes scope rings for the 527 or 550 that are lower than the CZ rings. I do not like those high rings.----Thanks---vernonp

Talley manufactures rings for the CZ 550 in High, Medium and Low. I bought a set of medium height rings for my CZ. They are pricey, but good, and they look good too. Tom Purdom

I put Warne's on my CZ550. Good solid and fit the cutout on the left rear of the receiver exactly.

Millet also make them, and they're the most reasonably priced.

the thing you have to worry about is not whether the objective will touch the barrel, but whether the bolt handle will clear the objective bell.  I bought the Leupold med 1" rings, they are just a shade lower than the CZ rings but are of better quality as they have the torx screws and not those useless flatheads that you get from CZ.  I have a Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36 on my 527 and the bolt just barely clears the optic bell.  Still yet, the objective sits too high off the barrel for my taste.  You can forget mounting one of those big objective bell scopes like a Zeiss or Swarovski on CZ.
