Otter trapping

I know there are otter in the area that I am trapping.  Mainly making castor set with 330's.  Do I need to be baiting with somethng to consistently take otter.

Foxman though many a otter has been caught in a castor set it is a very poor and low percentage otter getter.  Bait is also a low percentage deal for otter.  They are a fish killing machine and have no problem getting all they need to eat.

Your best bet is some sort of blind set.  Wether it be a crossover trail, a trail going to a toilet, or a narrow spot along their line of travel.

Foxman, If you can come up with an otter call, I think u could get a truck load just like you do with the gray fox.

Having a little more a problem catching otter than killing fox.  Can't keep the beaver out of my traps to be able to catch an otter.
