Ok,
 I'm confused, wich parts will interchange?
I heard the old contender and the encore parts will interchange and the G2 is by itself. Is this correct?

The Encore parts can only be used with the Encore. The G2 was set up to accept contender parts, but there have been some problems with older barrels working on the G2 frame.

Foreends and barrels are interchangable from G2 and the three generations of Contenders as long as the barrels have split lock bolts (at least in theory).

Nothing from an Encore is compatible to either.

have an old model contender 47000 sn series  had to change the locking lug on my new 17hmr barrel to make it work  would lock ok but would not unlock  used lug out of one of my old model barrels
