Hi all,

I'm going to be in the market for a new handgun scope fairly soon and wondered if anyone has had any experience with this Bushnell Elite 3200 handgun scope? If so, please post your comments and experiences. I have their 5-15x50mm AO rifle scope and love it, so I'm looking to try them again, but would appreciate any thoughts or alternatives.

Mine are Leupold and Burris, but that Bushnell is very highly regarded with handgun hunters.

I use one for IHMSA silhouette on a contender with a 14" 7tcu barrel. I think it rivals more expensive scopes (Leupold) at a lower price. It always returns to zero.

I have a Bushnell Elite on my 300WSM and plan on getting one for my
480 SRH soon.

I have two Elite 3200 handgun scopes, both on Encore 15 inch barrels. Never a problem. The consistent eye relief is great as you change powers.

I had one on my Contender 7-30 Waters. It worked great! I really found no faults with it at all. I would not hesitate to get another one if I had another pistol.

I love the Bushnell scopes..the rainguard works great. I did not however like the handgun version. The reason I didnt is because I found that in hunting situations, you dont always have the luxury of a constant eye relief or distance of your head from the scope. I find that the Leupold and Burris scopes suited me better because they have a more variable eye relief range.

I will say however that I use the Elites on all of my long arms.

One scope I would definitely look at now however is Nikons variable handgun scope. A buddy has the fixed 2x Nikon scope on his 454 Casull and that scope is the clearest and brightest I have ever used. If the quality of the new variable is the same as the fixed version, I wouldnt hesitate to get one.

I have one mounted on my 358JDJ. Is very clear, like the constant eye relief, and has never shifted POI. For the money, they are hard to beat.
