Yes you can and the man to see in Mike Sirois at OTT. I think the site is
www.mbmco.net
The ph# is 1-603-750-3232
The ones he makes doesn't require a rimfire adapter block for the breech. I have the first one he made and boy is it accurate, workmanship and finish is top notch.  He also made me a 357 Max pistol barrel and it is my most accurate centerfire barrel.  Headshots at 100 yds on a squirrel are a regular thing with the 22 lr barrel when I am back home where there are some. At 50 yds I can cover my shots with a dime. The next best thing about it is you do not have to change the breech block to go from center fire to rimfire. Give him a call he is an extremely nice guy to deal with.

no factory barrels in the rimfires for the encore are available. OTT(on target technologies) does a custom barrel for the encore. i think it has an offset bore that works with the same firing pin.

thats a bit more for a barrel than I was looking to pay. perhaps if I want a .22 I'll just have to buy me another frame in the future
