hi everyone got one for christmas i know that was a while ago but thought i would get some opinoins on the fit finish and accuracy and if i needed have it drilled and tapped or just attach it to the rear sight location because i was looking in the henry cataloge and saw the scope base and looks to have to be mounted on the barrel. thanx, superdown

Nice Christmas Present!! I bought one (golden boy) in 17hmr and also bought the scope mount. It mounts on the barrel with (2) 8-40 screws the barrel must be drilled and tapped. It looks good after mounting and with a scope.
