Scope Mount for Sig 220
« on: April 20, 2006, 03:47:44 PM »
Where can I find a saddle mount for a red dot scope for my 220?   I've contacted Sig and they don't make one.  I've spent a lot of time searching the web.  I've even looked at the Aimtech grip/mount but they no luck.  I don't want to drill the frame if possible.  Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

:D Why not just go wioth the Crimson Trace grips.  I love mine, works as good as the scope will on a pistol, and the gun is still not to bulky for a CCW.  Course if you want to use the gun folr nothing but target then the scope may be best for you.

I've checked them out too, and the laser that replaces the guide rod.  Who has the best prices on the Crimson Trace?  Will they cause a problem in a Fobus.

:D I have bought them from several different sources.  I suggest typing CRIMSON TRACE in your search engine and go from there.  The price didn't differ much buying off the net or buying from a distributor at a gun show.  You can expect to pay approximately $275. for a set of grips for the Sig.  Costly, but worth every cent.

I was opposed to them at first, but after shooting a friend's gun, I fell in love with them.  I now have them on five guns.  What is nice, you don't have to look down the barrel like looking through a scope, or using the sights.  I can tuck my 220 into the hip with a good two hand grip, keep both eyes open and watch the red dot in the target.  This is great, you have both eyes open and a much better field of view than when using sights or a scope, and once zeroed they are really accurate.  You can't beat them at night or in low light conditions.
