It's Offical! Remington is posting WSM rifles on their site.

Remington has finially yeilded to the pressure and started chambering the .270 and 300 WSM's. I am sure it is all about the economics and they build rifles to make money. I hope they shoot as good as the Remingtons I have. There will be a lot of happy shooters.

Seems they have also changed the names of a few of their rifles as well and quit making a few of the tried and trues. I am glad to see them make a few changes to get back into the action a little.

Good Shooting,

I'm not so surprised about the .270WSM because Remington didn't have a .277SAUM cartridge, but I am surprised at how they succumbed to the pressure for the .300WSM because that was their head competition for their .300SAUM.

I haven't seen the Remington website yet, but I wonder if Remington customized their actions just for the WSMs because they are not true short action like the Remington SAUMs.

It looks like maybe Remington is waking up.  They brought back the .375 H&H, dropped the M700 ADL(a BIG step in the right direction) and added the WSM to their line.  Now all they have to do is dump the .338 & .375 RUM's, the RSAUM's and then bring back the .338 Win. Mag.(which outsold the .338 RUM) they will be close to getting back to what the average buyer is looking for.  Almost looks like someone told the "beancounters" to take a flying jump.  Lawdog
