Why should I buy a new Encore?
« on: November 30, 2004, 12:00:32 PM »
Hi everyone, newbie to the board here.  I currently have a T/C Omega .45 cal that my wife bought for me a couple of years ago.  Its a very nice gun, stainless/synthetic.   But now I have this itch for a new Encore, particularly a .50 cal, but eventually other barrels as well.   To keep the peace with the Mrs., I how can I justify buying a new one?  Should I sell the .45 as I probably wouldn't need both.  Help, I need to scratch this itch.

Get the Encore, the G2 is not going to let you shoot the large caliber rifle rounds. The G2 is an Encore wanna be. :D

I agree with Redhawk-Why get a G2 and limit yourself when the Encore allows many more caliber choices.
As far as the muzzleloader problem.......I have never owned a Omega but do own a 209x50 Encore and love it!!! Do not be afraid to switch to the 209x50.

depending on where you live and where you go hunting the 45 cal has been removed from the list in couple of places i hear so that might help you out in buying a 209x50 and besides tell her how beautiful she is and tell her it;s okay to buy a new sofa or something like that and they usually don't scream too loud lol

You just need to be lucky. I seem to win a gun in a raffle every year. Plus it seems to be one I have been looking for.

Why should you buy an Encore???????????? Simple, everyone should have at least 2 Encore frames so you don`t have to change from the rifle to the handgun stocks.

Just do like I do...SNEAK it into the house.

As far as my wife knows, I only have 3 pistols and "9 or 10 rifles".

She would probably crap herself if she REALLY knew!   I'm working on my 10th handgun, 8th shotgun and 12th rifle. (that doesn't include the 5 barrels I have for my TC collection)

Do YOU know how many pairs of shoes she has??  Didn't think so!  Would you love her any less if you found out she had 20 or more??  DIDN'T THINK SO!

BTW...just got an encore a couple of weekends ago.  THAT ONE GUN could easily replace all of my others.  Get a caliber for deer, a 22lr, a shotgun and the 50 cal barrel and your set.  You will never NEED to buy another gun ever again!
The problem with troubleshooting is....sometimes it shoots back!

"You will never NEED to buy another gun ever again!"

Why would you want that?
