Sticky Encore Action
« on: November 29, 2004, 02:06:04 PM »
Anyone run into a sticky action on an Encore. Sometimes it won't break without a little smack on barrel. Tried all sorts of cleaning etc to be sure no residue build up but no luck in eliminating this problem. Came on fast and is same for all barrels so it has to be the receiver but darn if I can't figure out where the problem is.  Does it with light loads in 209x50 as well as full boat 150 gr. loads. Same with 06 barrel though the 06 is loaded somewhat tame since it is a 26" barrel and it shoots the eyeballs out of fleas at 100 yds with moderate loads. The 20 ga. sticks with Federal 3" Expanders. Looking to try another slug load just to test the variables. My other Encore doesn't have the same problems with same barrels. Stretched receiver? Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,

I'm having the same problem. Usually have to squeeze it several times before it breaks open. Anybody have any ideas?
