Anybody using this...

..is this a slow burner...looks like it

I was amazed at the velocities produced and lower pressure in the .357 Magnum.

Iv used it in my SRH 44mag & 454 Casull, works well with heavy bullets, used Hornadys XTP's and Speers GoldDots GDHP's, results were good, but could not achieve what the W296 could, tighter groups using the W296, crisper egnition as well, found that Lilgun can spike with curtain loads, can go from moderate right to a very hot loads, I hear the cast people like Lilgun using heavy bullets 300gr up, what got me to try it was the lower pressures resulting in the same FPS the Win 296 & H110 produced, Looked good on paper;)For some reason I did not feel a decrease in felt recoil either.  Not saying you might find a sweet spot using the LilGun, I feel for the calibers Im using the old stand bye W296 is more suitable for what type of bullets Im using.  might be a better powder for cast bullet types. I had a friend that swore bye Lilgun using cast. Aim small hit small. RAMbo.

Kivaari,
I use both H-110 and LilGun.  My experience has been that LilGun shoots best with near max or max loads.  I've had a 1/2 grain increase cut my group size in half.  I still use H-110 because if I have a bullet/gun combination that won't work with one powder, I can usually find a sweet spot with the other.
So far, I've been very pleased with LilGun.  It burns clean and has been very consistant.
Best,

.357 magnum, gp-100 with 158 fpxtp loaded just under book maximum shoots extremely well. clean burning and meters well in a rcbs powder pro and my lee progressive. no pressure signs at all even at maximum loads. it seams to shoot better at 1 grain under max. BRU

I am using LilGun in my 357MAG and some of my 500MAG loads. Works good but is a little dirtier than W296. IMO. I am getting good accuracy with it the LilGun though.

I'm planning on trying it for 357 rifle loads in my Marlin, 158 grain bullets and heavier.  From what I hear it meters well and burns clean.  If that goes well I'll probably also give it a try in my 44!

I`ve got some Little Gun to try, but haven`t yet. I`ve been loading Win.-296 for years in all of my hot loads in everything for .357 mag. to .500 S&W and doubt if I will switch with the luck I`ve had with the 296.

I've used L'il Gun in both .45 Colt and .22 Hornet.  It produces good velocity with lower pressures in the Colt, and does wonders in the Hornet.

I have been using Lilgun in my .357 and .44mag rifle. It gives the very best accuracy for both. Using 180grn cast in the .357 and 245grn cast in the 44. I'm getting around 1800fps with the 20" rifle with 23.5-24.5grns of Lilgun and the best 100yd accuracy I've gotten with it for any bullet I've shot. I'm getting my best 50yd accuracy with it with the 6" revolver.

Bill

PS: I like to use regular primers with Lilgun

Its my favorite powder for the 500 S&W. The 350 gr. bullet over 35gr.-42gr. This powder is a little hotter than H110 in this cartridge.
