LOP on the 7600
« on: October 23, 2004, 04:42:49 PM »
I just checked the Rem web site and the length of pull (LOP) on the 7600 is 14", too long for me.  Can the synthetic stocks be shortened 1" without problems?  I am going to sell or trade in my Savage bolt for the 7600.

It may be possible but extra work and extra $. The factory synthetic stocks on the 7600 are injection molded so they're hollow. If you look under 2004 special runs, Grice had a limited run of laminated stocked 7600 rifles made. My son bought me one chambered for 7-08 and it's a dandy.

Thanks, but I want to keep the weight down as much as possible.
